Are you ready to put these Money Saving Tricks into action?? Here’s what you’ll do…
Lowe’s Shopping Hacks
#1: Get a Free Lowe’s Gift Card with Swagbucks!
I’ve been a member of Swagbucks for about 10 years now, and it’s still one of my favorite ways to earn extra money each month! Here’s how it works:
- First of all, Sign up with Swagbucks.
- Then start earning Swagbucks SB Points. There are so many EASY ways to earn Swagbucks! You can earn by Searching the Web {just like you would using Google}, Taking Surveys, Using Coupons, Shopping Online, Watching Videos, etc. I typically earn an easy $25 each month on Swagbucks!
- Most importantly, you only need 500 SB Points for a $5 Lowe’s Gift Card.
- Then… just print your Lowe’s gift cards you earn and redeem online or use them in-store on your next shopping trip. How easy is that?!?
#2: Check End Caps for BIG Discounts!
Throughout the store, you’ll find different end caps loaded with some great clearance deal! Always walk the perimeter of the store and check the rear walls for clearance end caps that are full of discounted items.
#3: Always Check the Lowe’s Ad for Weekly Deals
Another easy way to save money is to check the Lowe’s Ad online or in your newspaper before you head to the store. You never know what you’ll find on sale. Year round, there are some great deals and bargains to be found!
#4: Get a Free My Lowe’s Account!
Signing up for a MyLowe’s account enables you to:
- Track your purchase history with a MyLowe’s card
- Get organized with Lists
- Stay on top of seasonal needs with Reminders
- Make managing your home easier with Home Profile
- and save address and billing information for quicker checkouts.
How cool is that?! Overall, this is such a great way for anyone to save big and get organized on their home renovation!
#5: Get Deep Discounts on Open-Box Appliances!
In the appliance section you’ll often find “Open Box Appliances”, which are appliances that may have been returned or uses as floor models. If you don’t mind a couple of dents or scratches in the appliance, then you’ll love this brilliant way to save BIG on appliances!
#6: Buy Mis Tint Paint for Your Project!
In the Lowe’s Paint section, you’ll almost always find a “Mis Tint” section, which are paint combinations that have been mixed and the color combination simply didn’t work for the customer. After being returned, Lowe’s will put them on sale for ridiculously cheap prices! So whether you’re painting an accent wall or a whole room, finding a Mis Tint can save you so much money! I’ve painted entire rooms for just a few dollars this way! Cha-ching!
#7: Skip Buying a Saw, and Cut Your Wood for Free!
One easy way to save big during a home renovation is to use the free wood cutting station, usually located in the lumber section of the store. Cut down the lumber that you’re purchasing, and save yourself the need to purchase a saw, or use a saw back at home!
#8: Shop End-of-the-Season Clearance for 50% off or more!
Every season, you’ll find drastically discounted prices on seasonal and holiday decor. Basically, it’s the perfect time to stock up on all your seasonal and Christmas décor when it’s cheap! I have saved SO much money loading up on deals this way! Last year, I even noticed the holiday clearance sales starting even before Christmas… so check your local store often around Christmas to score some serious deals!
#9: Get 10% off if you’re Active Duty Military or a Veteran!
If you’re active Military or a Veteran, be sure to take advantage of the Lowe’s 10% Military Discount! Sign up Here.
#10: Return dead plants… up to 1 year later!
Many Lowe’s locations that I know of offer a one-year return policy on plants, though it’s not a company wide policy. Just ask at your local Lowe’s location to find out if your Lowe’s has a one-year refund on plants. Mine does, so I regularly buy plants here just knowing that assurance that if they don’t make it, I’ll get my money back.
#11: Use the Lowe’s Price Match Guarantee!
Another way to save big is to use the Lowe’s Price Match Guarantee. This works both in store or online, and overall is one of my favorite Lowe’s shopping hacks! Check out the guidelines Here.
#12: Score Big Deals on Black Friday
Every year on Black Friday, Lowe’s offers incredible deals on everything from tools to appliances to home décor! Whether you need a new appliance or are doing a full on home renovation, it may be worth waiting until November to score the best deal at the Black Friday sales!

#13: Get Free Appliance Installation!
When you buy a larger appliance like a refrigerator, washer/dryer, oven, or dishwasher, don’t forget to ask for free delivery and installation. While this isn’t a for sure bet, it’s always worth asking! You’d be amazed at the discounts and deals I’ve scored just for asking the question! 🙂
#14: Buy Carpet Remnants to Save Big!
Looking to change out the carpet in a bedroom or other small room? At Lowe’s you can shop the Carpet Remnants section, which contains discounted pieces of carpeting that have been cut down. This is the perfect way to save some serious cash on flooring!
