So are you ready to make the best DIY sanitizing wipes? You’ll just need these 5 things to get started…
DIY Sanitizing Wipes
Ingredients for DIY Sanitizier Wipes:
- 1/2 cup 91% Isopropyl (Rubbing Alcohol)
- 15 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
- 25 drops Lemon Essential Oil (or more for a stronger scent)
- 1 Paper Towel Roll {the kind that comes with ‘half sheets’}
- 1 Wide Mouth Quart Mason Jar
How to Make Disinfectant Wipes with Paper Towels:
#1: Using a large serrated knife, cut your paper towel roll into thirds.
#2: Then unravel paper towels from roll, discard the cardboard roll, and loosely re-roll your paper towels. Make sure to start rolling at an angle so it sticks up a few inches, then continue rolling straight. {this will allow you the center piece to easily grab when using the wipes} Stop unrolling once your new roll reaches the width of your jar. {I used about 1/2 of my 1/3 roll piece}
#3: Place the rolled paper towels in your jar, with the extra center piece pointing up.
#4: In a glass measuring cup or small bowl, stir together Rubbing Alcohol, Tea Tree Essential Oil, and Lemon Essential Oil. Then slowly pour the mixture into the jar, evenly distributing the liquid.
#5: Place a lid on your wipes when not in use. When you’re ready to use your wipes, unscrew the lid, and gently pull from the center. {If wipes aren’t fully wet, or dry out over time, simply add in more rubbing alcohol as needed}.
So there you have it! Your very own DIY Sanitization Wipes. They only take a few minutes to make, and they’re so much cheaper than store bought sanitizing wipes. How easy was that?!?
