I thrive in cold, gray, rainy weather. Spring and summer are miserable for me. I have terrible allergies and absolutely hate being hot and sweaty. I get heat rashes and sun poisoning if I’m outside for too long thanks to super-sensitive skin. I’m miserable once it heats up outside and can’t wait for all of the rain fall brings with it. My husband is the same way, so we love the mountains and big cities for vacations—loathe the beach.
I can’t wait to try this recipe this weekend.
Never Ending Journeys says
Thanks, Joseph – I hope you enjoy the recipe.

I use more of the dressing and cheese to make more sauce in crock pot over 2 chicken breasts. Cook 4-5 hrs, shred chicken and then serve over angel hair pasta. Add bread and it’s a pasta meal.
1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
24 oz Olive Garden Italian Dressing
Never Ending Journeys says
That sounds delicious, Gina!

What size crockpot do you use? Just want to make sure mine isn’t too big for the amount of dressing called for in the recipe. Also, have you tried this in an instapot?
Thanks! This sounds delicious.
Never Ending Journeys says
Hi Michelle! I made this recipe in a 7 quart crockpot, but it would work fine in a 5, 6, or 7 quart crockpot as well. If you want to make Olive Garden in the instant pot, go check out this recipe here: https://diythrill.com/2018/06/10/instant-pot-olive-garden-chicken/

Nancy says
How can I thicken the sauce a little?
PJ says
You could make a slurry with cornstarch & a little water then stir it in about 30 minutes before serving. That should thicken the sauce.
Dori Sheese says
What could you use to thicken up the sauce please? Mine was very runny!
Noreen says
Anytime I have a recipe that does that I take the top off my crock pot and let it cook like that. It will thicken up the sauce.
Brian M says
Has anyone tried making this on the grill?
Never Ending Journeys says
Hi Brian! I haven’t tried making this on the grill yet, but if you try it out let me know how it goes!
Bill S. says
Olive Garden is my fave dressing and I get the 2-pak large bottles at Costco for like $5. Lasts a long time unless you use it for recipies like this. I’m trying this recipe soon.

I made this today and it was wonderful. I only used 2 chicken breasts since there are only 2 of us. The chicken was very tender and the flavor was super. I thickened the sauce a little and it was perfect over the chicken and mashed potatoes. Thank you for a great recipe!!
Never Ending Journeys says
I’m glad you enjoyed the recipe, Nicolee!
Stacey says
I’m only going to use 2 chicken breasts as well so curious if you still cooked it for 8 hours on low?
Never Ending Journeys says
Honestly, I haven’t tried it that way before. If you do, let me know how it goes!
Eric says
I cooked it on high for 5 hours and used 4 chicken breasts and they came out just fine very tender.
Melissa says
This is so delish! I’m a little surprised. The Olive Garden Dressing makes all the difference. I used the parm cheese in the can, but topped each piece of chicken off with some shredded parm at the end. I also used thighs as I prefer them in the crockpot. I served with roasted broccoli . Good dinner.
Melissa says
I am using skinless thighs for the recipe. I only have about 1/2 bottle of the dressing left. I’m thinking that might be enough. Thoughts?
Angel says
Is there a way I can make this in the oven if so how? Thanks
Natalie says
My husband makes this in the oven all the time. It’s so good! We add a little lemon pepper & dill to ours.
350 for 30-40ish minutes

Is there enough liquid to use as sauce over pasta?
Brittany says
This is exactly what I’m wondering also!
Ben says
More than enough! I removed the Chicken once cooking was complete and added about 1/4t xanthan gum and whisked for about a minute. This made for a great sauce that we had on top of the chicken.
Gabrielle caruso says
